Occupational safety instruction. Types of instruction

Occupational safety instruction includes entering, initial, periodical, unscheduled and focus instructions.

Entering instruction is provided to:

- all employed for permanent or temporary work irrespective to education, experience and position;

- employees from other enterprises assigned to do some work for enterprise, which is instructing;

- students of school or highest school or other trainees;

- person joining tour over enterprise;

- students entering any educational institution.

Initial instruction is conducted directly at the work place before starting work. It’s provided to:

- newly employed;

- employees transferred to another workshop;

- employees assigned for new work;

- students in every lab or area with chemical, physical or biological hazard, before using mechanisms, tools or materials within educational process, at the beginning of studying every new course.

Periodical instruction is provided to employees at workplace in terms set by the branch standard acts or by administration in accordance to exactly working environment. Terms are:

- quarterly at work with high risk;

- halfyearly for other works.

Unscheduled instruction is provided to employees at workplace or in occupational safety office in case of:

- introducing new or changed standard acts on occupational safety;

- changing technology, equipment, instruments, tools, raw materials and other what effects on occupational safety;

- noncompliance with standard acts what may cause or has caused an accident;

- low knowledge of employee on occupational safety at some workplace found while inspection;

- being off work longer 30 days if work has high risk, or longer 60 days for other work.

- noncompliance with standard acts caused by students in laboratory, classroom, or workshop what may cause or has caused an accident.

Focus instruction is provided to employees in case of:

- doing one-time work;

- liquidation of accident or disaster;

- doing work what needs job-admission, order or other documents.
