Adverbs of manner
We usually use adverbs of manner with a verb. They describe the way that we do the action of the verb. She's running. -> She's running slowly.
We usually form adverbs of manner from adjectives.
Add -ly to most adjectives.
quick quickly, loud -> loudly
When the adjective ends in -y, we remove the -/and
Add -ily.
happy -» happily, healthy healthily Some common adverbs are irregular.
Good well, fast fast
Adverbs of manner usually come after the verb, and often after any other words linked to the verb.
I drank it quickly.
