Journalist: Alistair, you're a very busy man, so I'm sure you use your lunch breaks. What do you do in your lunch break in the week?

Alistair: Well, you're right. I do a lot in my lunch breaks. I go for a walk or have a swim on Mondays and I go to the gym on Tuesdays. I sometimes meet friends on Wednesdays and we have lunch in a restaurant, and on Thursdays I sometimes listen to a lunchtime concert - when I don't have a lot of work to do. On Fridays I stay at my desk and work -1 always have a lot of work to finish on Fridays.

Journalist: What about the weekend?

What do you do on Saturday and Sunday?

Alistair: On Saturdays I go shopping - for food and also for other things, and on Sundays I relax. I sometimes watch football on TV and fall asleep!

Recording Woman 1: Hello, Mrs Smith. How's your Susie?

Woman 2: She's fine, thank you, Mrs

Jones. And how's Jonny? Woman 1: He's OK, thanks. He can play

SO:

the guitar now, you know. Woman 2: Oh, Susie can play the guitar.

and she can play the piano too. Well, jonny can't play the piano but he can sing. Oh, can he? Susie can sing,... Can Susie dance? Yes, she can. Can Jonny dance?

No, he can't. He doesn't have time to dance. He can play football - he's in the school team, and he can play tennis, and...

Susie can't play football - she doesn't like it. It's not a nice game for a girl. But she can play tennis, and she can ski, of course. Tell me, can Jonny ski?

No, but... he can speak French, you know... Oh. of course Susie can speak French, and she can speak Spanish too, and she can...

Jonny can ride a bike and he... Susie can't ride a bike but she can drive a car. Can Jonny drive?
