A tour guide’s portfolio technique

Each exhibit in a guide‘s portfolio - a photograph, a drawing, a reproduction of a picture, a portrait, a copy of the document - has its own serial number. This determines the sequence of demonstration of this exhibit to the tourists.

The exhibit can be shown by the guide from his workplace, passed over to the sightseers for more detailed inspection.

Sometimes in accordance with the tour manual the guide organizes the playback of audio and video.

During the tours, elements of the ritual (ceremonial, worked out by folk customs) are used. Excursionists in places of burial places and memorials honor the memory of the victims by a minute of silence, are present at the change of the guard

of honor, participate in marches and rallies, listen to mourning melodies. The guide must know the order of the flowers, the passage of tourists in the places of common graves and obelisks, participation in the guard of honor, in a minute of silence, rules of conduct at the Eternal Flame. Before the excursion begins, the guide informs the participants about everything, emphasizing the importance of observing the ritual when visiting historical places.
