Yekaterinburg, one of the most interesting cities in the Urals, is full of tourist attractions. There you can visit monuments, such as the monument to Vasiliy Tatischev and Wilhelm de Gennin. Also at Plotinka you can see beautiful fountains. Near the Medical College there is a famous new stadium. In summer and spring you can go to walk in parks, for example in the park near the shopping mall “Greenwich”.
In Yekaterinburg one can find art galleries and museums, theaters and cinemas to spend time in. For example, the concert hall “Cosmos” is famous for musical concerts and cinemas. One may also go to spend an evening in any Yekaterinburg`s bar or restaurant. The main street here is Prospect Lenina with its many shops, museums and other cultural venues. Here, you will find one of the most beautiful buildings in Yekaterinburg – the arty Dom Sevastyanova from the late 19th century.
Yekaterinburg is famous with its military production in the factories, so you can go to the museum of Uralmash plant and watch the military stuff it produces.

Yekaterinburg is a large industrial, scientific and cultural center. This beautiful city attracts travelers by rich historical heritage and truly wide selection of cultural programs. There are 30 museums in Yekaterinburg, several theatres and concert halls. The streets of the city are home to over 600 monuments and the history of each one is unforgettable and miraculous.
One of the main monuments of the city is devoted to its founders – Vasiliy Tatischev and Wilhelm de Gennin. They have offered to give the industrial complex and the fortress surrounding it the name ofYekaterinburg. Historical Public Garden is the oldest part of the city. Many years ago the oldest factory of Yekaterinburg was located on that area. Large number of monuments has been installed after World War II. The most famous ones are: Soviet Army Square, Regional Officers House and Museum of Ural Military Region History. Besides military exhibits that are kept in the halls of the museum tourists traditionally like the museum’s inner yard. Here you can see the examples of equipment that have been used by the Soviet Army during the years of the war.
Many monuments in Yekaterinburg are connected with unusual and sometimes even comic stories. Their names speak for themselves – the monument of Afonya plumbing specialist, the monument of the Invisible man and the Time Capsule. The monument named “Klava” and devoted to a computer keyboard has been opened in the city not long ago. Among other places of interest we should definitely mention several ancient churches (Saint Catherine Chapel and Svyato-Troistky Cathedral) that were built in 18-19 centuries. In Yekaterinburg, you will find numerous exhibitions and museums. Your cultural program will be different and unforgettable every day, and every excursion will bring you only positive and memorable emotions.
