The Republic of Belarus is a small, beautiful country. It is situated in Europe. The Republic borders on Russia, the Ukraine, Poland, and Latvia. It has an area of 207 square kilometers and a population 12 million. Belarus has six regions. Its capital is Minsk, with the population two million people. The largest cities in Belarus are Brest, Vitebsk, Gomel, Grodno, and Mogilev. The Republic of Belarus is a democratic state. It is a presidential republic. We have two official languages: Belarusian and Russian. There are a lot of rivers and lakes in Belarus. The chief rivers are the Dnieper, the Neman, the Zapadnaya Dvina, thePripyat. The largest lake is the Naroch. The largest and most beautiful forest is the Belovezhskayapushcha. Belarus produces tractors, motor-cycles, bicycles, TV-sets. There are a lot of theatres, concert halls, museums in our country. People of our country are proud of their Motherland.

I have visited many Belarusian cities Minsk, Grodno and Brest, Mir and Nesvizh

1. What do you know about Great Britain? The official name of the country is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. It is situated on the British Isles and includes England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The area is 244 square kilometers. The population is 58 million people. The capital is London. The climate is mild. British people joke that they have no climate, they have weather. Great Britain is an industrial country. The biggest industrial cities are London, Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool. It produces machinery and electronics, chemicals and textile, aircraft and navigation equipment.  One of the chief industries of the country is shipbuilding.

The United Kingdom is a parliamentary monarchy with Queen Elizabeth at the head. Great Britain is a country with old cultural traditions and customs. Oxford and Cambridge universities are situated there.

2. Do you know the state symbols of Great Britain? Why (not)? Yes, I do. The Union Flag (or the Union Jack) is the national flag. It is red, blue and white. The red rose is the national symbol of England.

3. What questions will you ask a British teenager about the royal family? How old is the Queen?

When is the Queen`s official birthday? What is the Queen`s official residence?

4. What historical places can you advise me to visit in London? You can see the Tower of London, Westminster Palace, the Houses of Parliament with Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, the National Gallery.

1. Tell me about the latest scientific achievements and discoveries. Today, we are in a digital age. We use computers, laptops, notebooks and palmtops. We use mobiles for communication. We watch LCD and Plasma television. Internet is a very important in our life. Some time ago, NASA launched a Space Shuttle called Discovery. It is a metallic object in space, bringing us news and data. the Lamborghini, Masseratti, and Maybachs are packed with newer inventions by the day. Science has really changed life. Today, you can visit your distant relative on the other side of the globe. You can look at a ceremony in London. You can put thousand and thousand pages of text into a pin size chip.

2. Do you want to be a scientist? I am not ready for this job.

3. What questions will you ask a most outstanding scientist?  

4. My niece is not very good at science. Give her a piece of advice on how to achieve better results. I`d recommend to read some popular information

№7 Art 1. Tell me what forms of art you enjoy most?

There are many different art forms: Paintings, Drawings, Sculptures, Photography. Architecture, Fashion Design, Wood Crafts, Interior Design. dance, music, opera, films, theater, drama, magic shows and stand up comedies. Literature such as Poetry, Prose and Drama.

As for me, I like music. Music is  fantastic! Every genre is unique. Listening to music, we have different emotions. Classical music is relaxing, rock is energetic, rap tells about life. Music is very important. There are different music styles: rock, hard rock, heavy metal, techno, pap, pop, jazz, country music.  But my favourite is ….. It sounds good and fills me with energy.
