LESSON 7 Main functions of water in the human body.

Get ready!                     Ex.1 Before you read the text, read information below. Reading Ex.2 Read and translate the text.
A healthy sedentary adult living in a temperate climate should drink at least 1.5 liters of water per day.         Man gets one half of his water in the food he eats, especially in fruit and vegetables. More than 70 percent of the body is composed of water. Daily we lose some water.        The human body gives off about 0,5 liters of water every twenty-four hours through the lungs, sweat glands and kidneys. If 20% of the body water is lost a person may die. The maximum time that a person can go without water is about 7-10 days. Drink water every day (approximately 1.5 liters*), and at regular intervals, 8 times a day (before, during and in-between meals), without waiting until you’re thirsty. It is important part of a healthy lifestyle!
